If you're reading this, chances are you love biltong as much as I do and you might still be searching for a reliable source of real biltong in the US.

Something to help you get through those waves of biltong cravings and nostalgia that creep up on every South African expat in the US?

The good news is you can relax now, because you're in the right place!

Laggan Biltong is a small family business that I run with my wife in the US.

We were both born in Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia) and immigrated to South Africa in 1981. Just over forty years later we made the big move to the US to start our next new adventure.

"Laggan" is the name of the farm I grew up on in Zimbabwe where my dad, a South African immigrant to Zim, farmed tobacco, maize, and dairy cattle.

During my childhood, I watched my family make countless batches of traditional beef biltong–the "South African" way.

I've always loved biltong, but moving to the US made me realize how much I missed it. Nothing else here compares to it, so I started making my own.

Soon, other people loved it too and so Laggan Biltong was born!

I make all our biltong in small batches to every customer's preference, using only the finest ingredients and a spice mix inspired by my family's biltong recipe.

My mission is to make every batch taste like it comes from your favorite butchers back home. Because that's what I missed!

So, if you're looking for the best biltong in the US, why not give Laggan a try? We promise you won't be disappointed.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Laggan family soon!
